Our team name is Free Range Robotics. We are a group of five homeschooled students who are enthusiastic about the fields of science, engineering and robotics. We believe that in working as a team we can achieve great results.We have spent the past 10 months in preparation for the 2010 national robotics competition held on March 26 - 28. 49 teams from all over NZ were participating.

The gripping final day of the three day competition is over, and the New Zealand Vex Robotics Championship was won by the Avondale College, Mount Albert Grammer School, and Home School team alliance!

It was an amazing accomplishment in a tough field, and it was great to see our team named Champions in the tournament battle, and also to take five other awards.

Free Range Robotics' Website is built using Joomla - a dynamic content management system (CMS). This means we can easily add articles and photos etc; and use extensions such as event management, forums and guestbooks. Also, we can control access to certain team documents and forum categories etc. The goal of this site is a central place where vex teams can find all the latest news - photos and videos included, see how our sub teams are going, chat on the forum and find helpful tips on how to build and program robots.
